York Cares is fantastic: a partnership of leading local employers, who come together for volunteering projects around York.
I created the site as you see it (except for the logo, pdf brochure and photography), and I've been working with the very lovely York Cares team since to create new features as they gain new members — some newer members, I am told, became interested simply from finding Cares online
As a media production company who make high quality film, audio and online products for the heritage sector, Historyworks knew they needed a website that looked great, represented them well and would be very easy to maintain. This website meets all those needs, and I'll be continuing to work with them to add new features (and providing extra expertise for any web-based projects they take on).
Working with illustrations and book design by the very talented cartoonist Chris Duggan, I created a site for the London-based author A.M. Crawford's latest children's adventure novel
It was great fun to make (and Antonia was delighted was the end result)
Jon Freer is a well-respected music journalist who is serious about the music he loves, and needed a showcase for his writing. His site needed a slick interface for him to embed a lot of media content to accompany his writing, which I was happy to provide.
I'm still working with Jon and we've got a planned upgrade in the pipeline — the site's going from strength to strength.
Parliamentary Brief is a magazine with a proud twenty-year history of expert analysis of political affairs, presented to its core audience of MPs, Lords, and senior politicians and advisers.
I've been working with them for a long time, until their recent acquisition by Biteback Media, and helped them to rebrand their logo and cover, as well as create a fully-featured, content-managed website to present their articles online.
A serious book about a serious subject, which needed a website with some weight to it, but that was also clear and easy to access. I think I delivered on that brief (and so did the publishers, who were especially pleased with the gallery of plates from the book, and the slideshow of quotes and images on the front page)
As always, I gave them an easy-to-use interface to manage their own content
As a new publisher, Murray McLellan needed a web presence very quickly and affordably, but that nonetheless represented them effectively to the many contacts they were making. This simple holding page has served them very well as they have launched their business, and they were very pleased indeed with the price tag!
